ESOMEFOL DSR CAP(esomeprazole (enteric-coated) & domperidone (sustained-release) cap)

Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s belongs to a group of gastrointestinal agents to treat acidity, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia (indigestion), epigastric pain, peptic ulcers, and eradication of helicobacter pylori infection. Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s is a sustained release formulation that prolongs drug release for a longer duration of time.
Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s is a combination of two drugs: Esomeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Esomeprazole works by blocking an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. Together, Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s helps in treating acidity-related problems.
Take Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s 1hour before food. Swallow Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or break the tablet. You are advised to take Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor before taking Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s if you have severe kidney or liver disease; if you are due to have Chromogranin A blood test, have fungal infections, heart problems, or HIV infection. Talk to your doctor before taking Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s if you have osteoporosis: Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s may increase the risk of bone fractures on long-term treatment. Consult your doctor before taking Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and Esomefol-DSR Capsule 10’s as it could lead to increased drowsiness and elevate stomach acid production.
