GASTRESE 170ML (Antacid MPS)

GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.

GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and dimethicone. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide belong to a group of antacids, whereas dimethicone belongs to antiflatulents. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Dimethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

Take GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml with or without food. Take the required dose/quantity of GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the bottle well before each use. You are advised to take GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as constipation, loss of appetite, weakness and diarrhoea. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml should not be given to children as the safety have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with GASTRESE Original Sugar Free Mint Liquid 170 ml as it could lead to increased acidity.
